My amazing high school friend, Doug McConnell, lost his
father to ALS. Since that time, Doug has raised more than $320,000 to fund ALS
research.
Tomorrow, Doug, with the help of his A Long Swim Team, will
tackle the Molokai Channel, swimming between the islands of Molokai and Oahu.
This is a 27+ mile marathon swim in open-ocean with steady trade winds, 15 foot
swells, and lots of wildlife such as whales, dolphins, jellyfish and, lately,
sharks.
Only 35 swimmers have successfully completed this journey.
His story is here, along with this opportunity to support
his— that is, our— cause.
Godspeed, Doug. For more, including a link to make a donation, click here.
