I’ll Kick Your… Apostrophe: Punctuation and Grammar 101 for My Students
Did you spot the apostrophe error in the picture? If not, you are like 22% of my graduate students. Recent course papers for my classes were impressive, but also suffered from several types of apostrophe problems. We will begin class in two weeks by reviewing the grammar rules in the following link: Click here! PS: Only 3% of my international students misused apostrophes. My hunch? These students have taken courses in an obscure subject called English punctuation and grammar. Domestic students increasingly come to us with rusty skills or are learning this for the first time.
